What an exciting day it was yesterday? The school was crowded with our special visitors who came along to enjoy some "school time" with their grandchildren. The children were so excited to show their grandparents around and to perform for them. Their "Why My Grandparents are so Special" stories were fantastic and very well received.
It was wonderful to listen to Mrs Marie Lawson as she reflected on her happy days at Vaucluse Public School. So many people commented on how much they enjoyed her talk.
Many thanks also go to:
· the teachers for organising such a successful event;
· all the children who participated so well in all the activities;
· the parents for all their help in setting up the venue yesterday morning;
· the parents for organising and donating all that fabulous food for the lunch; and
· the grandparents who came along and made the day so special.
It was great to see so many children taking their grandparents along the bush track at lunchtime yesterday. A visit to the track has become an everyday event for all the children. It is a beautiful place that is unique to our school. We have had many suggestions as to what we should call the track. If you have any ideas, please send them in. We would like to list all suggestions and organise a ballot so that people can vote for their favourite name for the track.
